Q: What is the Wasatch Fund?
The Wasatch Fund is Wasatch Academy’s annual fundraising effort that bridges the gap between tuition revenue and the true cost of a Wasatch education. Gifts support financial aid, faculty, student programs, and campus initiatives.
Q: What is the goal?
Our total Wasatch Fund goal for the year is $600,000. We aim to raise $50,000 in 24 hours on Tiger Nation Day (November 11), with the remaining $550,000 to be secured during our focused eight-week campaign from October 15 to December 10. Every gift—no matter the size—moves us closer to the finish line.
Q: Why does Wasatch Academy need additional funding if tuition is already charged?
Tuition does not fully cover the cost of educating each student. Your gift ensures that we can continue providing exceptional opportunities, financial aid, and resources that make a Wasatch education transformative.
Q: What is Tiger Nation Day?
Tiger Nation Day is Wasatch Academy’s annual day of giving, held on November 11 (11/11). This year’s theme is “Make a Wish for the Next 150 Years,” celebrating our sesquicentennial and raising $50,000 in just 24 hours.
Q: Is my gift tax-deductible?
Yes! Wasatch Academy is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. All gifts are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Please consult with your professional advisor when determining the deductibility of your charitable contributions.
Q: What are the different ways I can give?
- Online through our secure donation form
- By check, payable to Wasatch Academy
- Appreciated assets (stocks, bonds, etc.)
- IRA charitable distributions (for donors 70½ or older)
- Planned gifts to leave a lasting legacy
Absolutely. Honorary or memorial gifts are a meaningful way to celebrate someone’s impact. Please let us know if you’d like us to notify the honoree or their family.
